EuroCham Laos invites you to our first "Business After Five Networking Event" held in Vang Vieng, kindly sponsored by Swisscontact and Econox.
The Business After Five event is organized to be an enriching evening of connection and collaboration serving as a platform to cultivate synergies, exchange insights, and explore avenues for mutual growth.
This exciting event will take place on: April 9, from 17:00 to 20:00 at Riverside Boutique Resort in Vang Vieng.
Our focus for the day is"Promoting a Single-use Plastic Waste-Free Vang Vieng: Joint Efforts from the Tourism and Hospitality sector" in collaboration with Econox and the Waste to Value project.
Promotion of a Single-use Plastic Waste-Free Vang Vieng is crucial, as our planet was not created to handle the burden of plastic waste.
The Plastic-Free Laos members, primarily representatives from the hospitality sector, have taken the lead in eliminating single-use plastic waste. They support this through evidence, training, audits, and direct support. Integral to this endeavor is the Plastic-Free Laos initiative, a certification established to promote and acknowledge the decrease of single-use plastic in services and operations, representing a firm commitment towards an eco-friendly future.
This certification, managed by Econox Laos and orchestrated by the Small and Medium Enterprise Service Centre along with the Lao Hotel and Restaurant Association, has a primary objective: the reduction of plastic waste in the Lao PDR.
