Did you know that changes will be made to the Equality Act next month? The Worker Protection Act 2023 comes into force on 26th October, and we want to make sure housing organisations are ready.

We know the devastating impacts that sexual harassment in the workplace can have for those who experience it - including on their mental and physical health, career, employment and financial situation. The Worker Protection Act, which comes into force on 26th October as an amendment to the Equality Act, adds new obligations for employers to take reasonable steps to prevent their employees from being sexually harassed – not just by colleagues but in the course of their day-to-day employment.

HDN has partnered with Devonshires to deliver a training session about this new piece of legislation, which will cover:

  • What constitutes sexual harassment?
  • What will the new obligations be?
  • What should employers do to comply?
  • What are the penalties for failing to comply?

There will be plenty of time for questions too, so we hope you can join us for this important topic.
