This workshop presents all SASA members and student members with the opportunity to be guided on how prepare a professional academic manuscript.


The workshop will focus on article structure and academic writing style, with the aim of improving and rounding off articles for submission to conference proceedings or journals.


The workshop will be facilitated by Science Writer Mrs Liesl van der Westhuizen from the University of the Free State, as well as experienced academics in the field of statistics.


All attendees will have the opportunity to talk about their own work and share ideas for feedback and discussion.


Attendance of the workshop is FREE OF CHARGE for postgraduate students of statistics who are members (student or ordinary) of SASA. You can sign up for SASA membership here (student membership is FREE).


Postgraduate students may apply through the UCDP for financial support to cover mobile data costs.

SASA will be publishing proceedings of peer-reviewed papers from its annual conference. Presenters who would like to submit contributions for review and inclusion in the proceedings are kindly reminded to submit their papers by 15 August 2022.
