Meet Claudio, an accomplished professional serving as the Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation to Zambia and COMESA since November 2022. With a solid background in Civil Engineering and a Master's degree in Renewable Energies, Claudio possesses a diverse skill set that enables him to excel in his role.
Prior to his current position, Claudio held the esteemed role of Head of Infrastructure Sector at the EU Delegation to Zambia and COMESA from August 2020 until November 2022. Over the course of his impressive 20-year tenure at the European Commission, he has accumulated extensive experience working across seven EU Delegations in Latin America and Africa.
Claudio's expertise extends across various sectors, including water and sanitation networks, treatment plants, transportation reforms, energy transmission and distribution lines, hydropower plants, private sector development, education, TVET programs, and digitalization initiatives. His multidisciplinary approach allows him to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of these critical areas.
Fluency in four languages further enhances Claudio's ability to connect and collaborate with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. This linguistic proficiency facilitates effective communication and fosters strong working relationships in his endeavours. In his current capacity, Claudio assumes a pivotal role in spearheading upcoming investments within the EU Global Gateway framework. This responsibility includes overseeing the implementation of the EFSD+ guarantee scheme, which focuses on the development of energy, transport, and digital infrastructures.
Claudio's extensive experience, technical proficiency, and linguistic versatility enable him to excel in his role as Head of Cooperation. With his strong leadership and expertise in driving infrastructure development, he plays a crucial part in fostering sustainable progress within the EU Global Gateway framework.

Mr. Tjivikua is the Chief Executive Officer of the Walvis Bay Corridor Group. He has over 15 years of experience in the corridor management, transportation and logistics industry. He has served in various senior and executive management roles as well as the academia as a part time lecturer in Business Management, Strategic Leadership and Quality Management Systems. He has done several consultancies and serve on various board of directors.

Tjivikua holds an MSc (Operations Management & Leadership) from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Massachusetts, USA, B.Ed (Hons), Rhodes University, HED (Sec), University of Namibia, Certificate in Project Management, University of Stellenbosch, Certificate in Financial Management, Namibia University of Science & Technology.

Jonathan Lewis is the Managing Director of NAC2000 Corporation Limited, the
