COURSE DESCRIPTION/COVERAGE:

• Appreciation of the government accounting manual (GAM) for national government agencies (NGAs);
• Know and understand the app8licable International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) with Philippine Application Guidance (PAGs);
• Enhancement of agency's operations and reportorial capacity by improving the effectiveness and efficiency in the application of proper standards in accounting and internal control system.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

• To impart knowledge of and understanding the concepts of the accounting policies, guidelines and procedures covered under the GAM-NGA;
• To enable the participants to appreciate and analyze government business transactions, events and conditions focusing on the concepts of IPSAS with PAGs and the requirements of the GAM-NG;
• To enable participants to understand the basic principles of national government accounting vis-a-vis internal control system and appreciate pointers in the preparation of required financial reports.

The webinar is especially designed for government employees from NGAs, GOCCs/GFIs and SUCs, particularly those assigned in the internal audit, accounting, finance, treasury, budget, asset management, general services, human resource management, corporate planning, operations systems developers, procurement, legal, etc.

Those in the private sector especially those who have contracts/transactions with government or intend to transact or do business with government are encouraged to attend this training course.
