Please join us as we welcome Shuronda Robinson, President and CEO of Adisa Communications, for dinner and a conversation about the uses of social media in our personal and professional lives. Shuronda has worked with companies all over Texas for the past 3 decades, leading teams and processes designed to improve communications and teamwork.

Since 1995, Adisa Communications, led by an African-American owner, has offered clients a wide range of intuitive and creative community outreach, diversity programs, and communications services. Adisa has developed a strong track record for promoting clients’ programs and ideas to successful completion. Adisa is a certified HUB, M/WBE, and DBE firm founded by Shuronda Robinson, who believes in matching your work with your passion “because your passion will drive continuous learning and programming success.” This philosophy has enabled Adisa to create strategy-driven, results-oriented programs that capture the interest and respect of clients, customers, and partners, including the American Heart Association, County of Travis, Waller Creek Conservancy, and Six Square (Austin’s Black Cultural District). For nearly three decades, Shuronda Robinson has led teams from public, nonprofit, and private sector organizations through processes designed to improve communications and teamwork. The daughter of a youth sports coach and former journalist, Shuronda is the president and CEO of Adisa Communications, an award-winning communications and community engagement firm based in Austin. She has received numerous awards for her work, including the Small Business of the Year, Austin Women Women’s Way Finalist, Rosa Parks Diversity Award from the Women In Transportation Seminar. She recently received a Key to the City in recognition of her community service work and civic leadership.
In January she took the helm of Austin Woman magazine, a 20-year-old publication that serves to empower women in Austin and across the country. She is an award-winning journalist who believes in the power of storytelling as a way to create change and improve lives.
She is a fourth generation entrepreneur and her clients rely on her level-headed approach to include the City of Arlington, Dallas Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation, St. David’s Foundation, Black Mamas ATX/UT, Center for Health Empowerment, Lenovo, Sanya Richards Ross, University of Texas at Austin, Black Mamas ATX, Capital Metro, AECOM, HNTB, URS, Arcadis, PBS&J, Reynolds Smith & Hill, Aguirre Roden, and the City of Austin and the American Heart Association. She has helped national and international brands launch campaigns that generate media interest, credibility with audiences, and revenue.
She is the mother of three young men, two of whom serve in the US Navy and Army, respectively.
