Adventure Queensland (AQ) is excited to announce the return of the industry led youth tourism awards ceremony and conference to be held on Thursday 9 November 2023. AQ, who is the peak backpacking and independent travel industry body for Queensland, successfully showcased and recognised outstanding tourism experiences, people, and places within this dynamic and important industry across Australia and New Zealand in previous years through the introduction of the Adventure Tourism Awards and Youth Tourism Conference.
The industry-led Adventure Tourism Awards will make its 2023 comeback in a unique once-off format, themed 'SURVIVOR', and we invite you to join us in celebrating the efforts and achievements of our resilient sector. Along with supporters and sponsors of the youth tourism sector, our goal is to bring the industry together to work towards a stronger future, highlighting the importance of formally recognising and awarding operators and individuals for showing such resilience in recent years.
The Adventure Tourism Awards will provide an opportunity for industry members to stand together and simply celebrate the fact we're still standing – For surviving the most challenging of years, the entire youth and adventure industry deserves recognition.
The Youth Tourism Conference is a dedicated half-day conference solely focused on addressing the challenges and available opportunities in the youth tourism sector in Australia and New Zealand.
The Youth Tourism Conference aims to:
• Provide an annual platform for collaboration on ideas and issues impacting the youth travel sector in Australia and New Zealand.
• Raise the profile and importance of youth travel to all levels of Government.
• Provide a forum for industry members to learn trends and opportunities to help their business grow.
Held on the 9th of November 2023, the conference will include a wide range of presentations designed to inspire the future and inform and educate the industry on the latest trends, tech solutions and new initiatives for a sustainable future. See speakers for full profiles.
