The security situation in the Philippines varies dramatically based upon geographic location and the activities of an organization. PSA Philippines Consultancy will present a brief introduction into the kinds of security issues that organizations operating in the Philippines have to contend with, depending on where they are operating and what they are doing.
PSA will go over a brief update of the current situation involving terrorism and insurgency, the most impactful types of crime affecting businesses, the extent of the current kidnapping threat, and other issues relevant to business in the country.

Gregory Wyatt currently leads the Business Intelligence team at PSA Philippines Consultancy. PSA monitors a broad range of business risks in the Philippines, including insurgency, terrorism, crime, kidnapping, as well as political and regulatory issues.
Greg has over a decade of experience in the fields of security risk assessments and political risk, beginning his career as a civilian contractor for the U.S. Army’s Human Terrain Team. During his 14-month deployment, Greg was embedded with U.S. Army combat units in Iraq, helping front-line units navigate the complex socio-cultural and political landscape.
Greg holds a Master’s Degree in Security Studies from Georgetown University with a focus on Intelligence, as well as an undergraduate degree in International Relations from the University of Saint Andrews in Scotland. He was a Fulbright student scholar to Yemen and Oman.
