In 2021, Baettr - former Vestas Components - began construction of an 18.000 square meter foundry in Chennai. Just two years later, the foundry began operations and the several hundred million kroner investment materialized.
Baettr's foundry is the first ever in India to receive Platinum Certification from Indian Green Building Council and sustainability remains a priority for Baettr as they look towards expanding the factory just two years after it's launch.
However, the way into the Indian market for manufacturing was in no way simple, with a lot navigation and intricate decision making to be made.
