Join the Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations (PCFR) on September 17 for an enlightening panel program with Rahayu Saraswati, Indonesian Congresswoman-Elect, Deputy Chair of The Great Indonesia Movement Party (GERINDRA) as she discusses the future of Indonesia, youth development, women's leadership, and sustainability in Indonesia.


As Indonesia navigates the complexities of youth development, women's leadership, and sustainability, this discussion offers a unique opportunity to explore these critical issues from the perspectives of opportunities and challenges. Congresswoman Saraswati will share her vision for empowering Indonesia's youth and women, addressing the critical areas of education and sustainability.


Congresswoman Saraswati will also be joined by Dirgayuza Setiawan a member of president-elect Prabowo Subianto's transition team and Billy Mambrasar, special staff and advisor to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, 2019-2024

    People's Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia

    Rahayu Saraswati D. Djojohadikusumo was born on January 27, 1986, in Jakarta, Indonesia. She is a wife and mother of two sons and one daughter, and she started her career as a professional actress in 2009.

    Sara has been an activist in the fight against human trafficking since that same year and founded the Parinama Astha Foundation (ParTha) in 2012. Her advocacy led her to run for parliament; and in 2014, she was elected at 28 as a Representative at the People's Representative Council (House of Representatives) of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI).

    After finishing her term in 2019, she became the Head of the Indonesian Delegation for the Y20 Saudi Arabia 2020 and became a Co-Chair of the Y20 Indonesia 2022. (Y20 is the official Youth Engagement Group of G20, and Indonesia held 2022’s G20 Presidency.)

    Now, aside from running the family’s Pearl Business known for its internationally acclaimed Bima Pearls, she has been actively helping Indonesian start-ups as their Advisor. These startups range from Edu-tech (Rakamin), a platform for traditional market vendors (Titipku), an eco-tourism destination management (Mewari), an HRIS platform (Zemangat), and a carbon-offsetting platform (Carbon Ethics). To better serve them and the international community wishing to enter the Indonesian market, she founded the Tribhuwana Advisory. It is a boutique advisory that serves to empower vision with impact-driven solutions and meaningful connections.

    She is currently the Deputy Chairwoman of the Great Indonesia Movement Party and focuses her passion for youth empowerment through her Chairmanship of TIDAR (Tunas Indonesia Raya) – the party’s youth organization wing.

    This year, Sara has been re-elected into the House of Representatives for 2024-2029.

    Gracia Josaphat Jobel Mambrasar, or as people usually call him, Billy Mambrasar, is one of the special advisors to the President of the Republic of Indonesia. His specialization is Innovation and Sustainable Development. He serves as the Special Staff and Advisor to the President of the Republic of Indonesia from 2019-2024, and has helped the President to produce 30 Policies and National Programs in his field of expertise. Most of the Policies and Programs focus on providing equal access to education, training, and access to Indonesia’s youth workforce, as well as increasing their participation in the formal economics sector, by giving them access to entrepreneurship training, and access to financing and the market.

    Dirgayuza Setiawan, born on May 15, 1989, in Jakarta, has built a distinguished career at the intersection of politics and consulting. He earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science and Communication Media from the University of Melbourne, Australia. Upon his return, he served as a key assistant to Mr. Prabowo Subianto, Chairman of the Gerindra Party Advisory Board, contributing to several critical campaigns and policy initiatives, including the 2012 DKI Jakarta Regional Election and the 2014 General Election.

    In 2014, Dirgayuza authored his first book, "Values of Warrior Warriors," reflecting on Mr. Prabowo's values. After completing his Master's degree in Social Sciences at the University of Oxford, he collaborated with Mr. Prabowo on "The Indonesian Paradox," a book on public policy. In 2017, he joined McKinsey & Company, where his expertise in transformation projects led to his appointment as Director of Business Development and Control at ID FOOD in 2023.

    Following his tenure at ID FOOD, Dirgayuza shifted his focus to supporting President-elect Prabowo's economic growth initiatives. By the end of 2023, he had edited ten of Mr. Prabowo's books, including the "National Transformation Strategy."
