Originally from Australia, Ms Adrienna Zsakay first visited Asia when she was 18 for a holiday to Bali. That four week trip changed her life forever, resulting in residences in India, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia as well as travels to other parts of the region. Over the last 40 years Adrienna has witnessed tremendous development and change.
For more than 15 years years, Adrienna worked in the food industry, managing a food import company in South Korea and later built the world’s largest free database of Asian food regulations while living in Thailand.

Adrienna has a BA (Asian Studies & Politics) from the University of Western Australia and has studied International and Asian food law from Michigan State University.

She became interested in the design, efficiencies and convenience of recycling collection systems, within the Asian context, when she moved to Thailand after living in South Korea. What started as a serious hobby morphed into a full-time role after she was introduced to the Circular Economy and its values and principles.

Circular Economy Asia Incorporated (CEA) leads the discussion across the region on Circular Economy values with a particular emphasis on recyclable resource recovery, education & training and the voluntary Asia Plastics & Packaging Agreement. It requires working with all tiers of Government who must respond to the global pressures of growing resource scarcity and overwhelming waste.

Dato' Leong has served as the President of Malaysia Biomass Industries Confederation since 2012. Between 2010 and 2014, he served as the Technical Advisor to the European Union - Malaysia Biomass Sustainable Production Initiative (Biomass-SP) which won the European Commission's Development Co-operation (DEVCO) Communication Award 2012.
Dato' Leong also specialises in Green Finance Solutions for both public and private sector under his company - Primer Capital Sdn Bhd He has been appointed by the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) to helm two national level consultancy studies on up-scaling financing and developing viable business cases for Low Carbon Public Transportation (Bus) and developing green technology business plans for Local Authorities, and Green SMEs.
Dato' Leong is a recognized green technology speaker with Malaysia Palm Oil Board (MPOB), Malaysia Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Securities Commission, Energy Commission etc. His work has won him the recognition from the EU Commission, Malaysia Canada Business Council (MCBC) etc.

For Kian, as Mr Seah Kian Hoe is affectionately known, the recycling business runs in the family. His start in the recycling business came from riding in the truck that his father drove around residential neighbourhoods to collect old newspapers. The family empire now extends beyond paper to metal and plastic recycling. Heng Hiap Industries, under Kian’s astute leadership in the past 17 years, has collected, converted and sold recycled plastic to 30 countries around the world. As a keen mechanical engineer, Kian has spent many years investigating and adopting technologies that advance plastic recycling. After years of searching and tinkering, Kian has bequeathed Heng Hiap Industries with 18 intellectual properties (patent pending). Now Heng Hiap Industries is one of the leading plastic recyclers in Malaysia with a production capacity of 2,500 metric tons a month and has an outlook to a bigger, global footprint and greater sophistication and efficiency in plastic recycling.

Kian was a Fulbright Scholar at Thunderbird University and has won numerous awards in recognition of his work as a leading entrepreneur in the business of plastic recycling. Kian meets and speaks regularly to the business community including being a member of the Plastics Committee for Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) based in Belgium, to promote higher standards in recycled plastic as well as closing the loop in the circular economy of recycling. In his spare time, Kian also mentors young entrepreneurs and enjoys experimenting with new recipes in his kitchen at home in Penang, Malaysia."

Since April 2016, David Lantz has been the Sustainability Manager at Scania South East Asia where he is in charge of sharing Scania’s 127 years of experience in developing sustainable transport Systems with growing cities in the region covering areas such as:


- Improving the safety and reducing the environmental impact of transports systems through smart and fuel efficient solutions
- New technology such as electro mobility, alternative fuels and autonomous vehicles
- Community impact through vocational school development and on the job skills developments

He has been based in Malaysia since 2010 and prior to joining Scania he work for Business Sweden, the Swedish Trade and Invest Council where he as a Project Manager and Commercial Liaison to the Asian Development Bank, was in charge of sharing the combined experiences of the Swedish Transportation industry to growing cities in Southeast Asia covering areas from integrated city planning, Bus Rapid Transit Systems, congestion charging to on street parking.
