Jordia Batchelor graduated with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree in Family Nursing
Practice from Bradley University (2021). She is a current colleague at Holy Cross Hospital
(Silver Spring, Maryland) where she aids in the development, implementation, and the
promotion of staff wellbeing through resilience and self-compassion techniques and tools. Dr.
Batchelor has over eleven years of nursing experience where majority of her background was
spent serving in float pool departments across multiple health care facilities within Virginia and
Maryland. Her expertise encompasses delivering nursing care in various specialties and patient
populations including medical-surgical care, intermediate care, orthopedics care, cardiac care,
telemetry care, ambulatory care, and neurology care. Dr. Batchelor received an Associate in
Applied Science degree from J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College (2010) and a Bachelor of
Science degree in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University (2014). She is currently a
member of the Maryland Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association.
