Designed for school leaders, this webinar will introduce the support and resources available from Esperanza, International Society for Technology in Education ( ISTE), EDB, EdCity and local universities to help schools get a head start in blended learning in the next academic year. Richard Culatta, CEO of ISTE, will share how school leaders can lead the change to blended learning. Participants will also learn about an ISTE blended learning programme and CoderZ, an international virtual coding tournament for students.

The webinar will introduce an exclusive opportunity for 20 primary and secondary schools to:
Each school can join the programme at $7,500 per with 3 available places. Deadline for application is 31 May. For more information and registration, please click here.
Programme participants from 2-3 schools will be offered an ISTE scholarship to go through the ISTE certification programme. The schools will also be featured on EdSurge and at ISTE 2022 Annual Conference.
About ISTE
The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) is the largest and most well established nonprofit organization that serves educators interested in the use of technology in education. Headquartered in the US, ISTE provides educational technology resources to support professional learning for educators and education leaders worldwide, including the ISTE Conference & Expo and the ISTE Standards for learning, teaching and leading with technology. ISTE also provides a suite of professional learning resources to members, including webinars, online courses, consulting services, books, and peer-reviewed journals and publications.
In 2019, ISTE acquired EdSurge, a for-profit news organization, which focuses on technology and education, and converted it to a non-profit.
Esperanza is pleased to present the CoderZ League, a virtual coding tournament. Students (aged 9 - 18) will learn coding, computational thinking and other 21st century skills with minimal supervision, any time and any where with no need for hardware or software installation.
The 3 winning teams (Novice, Junior and Pro) will represent Hong Kong in the CoderZ World Championship (Jan 2022) on Twitch TV. They will also be invited to attend a 6-day international tech summer camp in Israel in 2022.
At a monthly fee of $5000, each school can get a licence for all students to learn coding on the CoderZ platform and join the CoderZ League from July 2021 to Jan 2022. Eligible schools can use EDB / OGCIO grant.
CoderZ provides a unique virtual robotics SaaS learning and the competition platform (CoderZ League) connected to the real world/industry for students (grade 6th to 12th) to learn STEM in a fun and engaging way. Being an online platform allows CoderZ to be a highly affordable solution for schools in the search to make robotics and programming education accessible to any student. The platform is also data-driven, helping teachers to track the performance of the students. This teacher friendly design also makes time-consuming and costly training unnecessary, enabling educators to teach robotics classes faster and easier than ever.
The impact of learning STEM with the CoderZ platform is proven with endorsements from teachers and students, and accolades from major edtech organizations such as ISTE and Bett. They have been running the CoderZ League in 17 countries.
CoderZ is one of the winning teams of the Adventures GBA Fellowship organised by Esperanza and Cyberport last year.

"Highly impressed by the virtual environment
as school won't need to buy a lot of tangible robots for teaching coding. Teachers can conduct STEM education through robotics training in a remote learning environment. ""
Eric Chan, Ying Wa College
"The curriculum is comprehensive, suitable for learning coding in local schools.
The CoderZ offerings are impressive compared with another coding platform."
Leonard Wong, SKH Kei Yan Primary School
