    Laura Burgess

    Head of Policy and Research at Resolve Poverty

    Laura is the Head of Policy and Research at Resolve Poverty and she leads on all the advocacy, policy and research work for the organisation. Working with the policy team, she oversees the research they conduct, and the policy reports they produce. Laura also represents Resolve Poverty in meetings with stakeholders and a number of forums they are part of. Laura leads on the advocacy of a number of Resolve Poverty’s message and is involved in national campaigning on topics such as the Household Support Fund and the socio-economic duty.

    Prior to working for Resolve Poverty, Laura worked for nearly a decade as a researcher in the trade union movement.

    Head of Policy, Research & Campaigns at Just Fair

    Helen holds an LLM in Human Rights and Criminal Justice from Queen’s University Belfast. She has over ten years experience researching and campaigning on behalf of NGOs, community groups and grassroots organisations towards the better realisation of human rights. Helen has a particular interest in the domestic implementation of international human rights standards and has worked to find ways to better facilitate access to UN monitoring mechanisms for those engaged in grassroots human rights work both in the UK and Latin America.

    John has worked for both Local Authorities and Housing Associations, as well as at the Audit Commission (Lead Housing Inspector) and the Regulator (RSH) (Senior Regulation Manager). John has also been an RSH NED appointee, is a Fellow of the CIH, and has an MBA from Bradford University.
    John is currently CEO of Prima Group, an award winning medium sized housing association operating across the Liverpool City Region.
