Who are we?

Innovation and Technology 2021 weekend is a Community Shaper event organized by CNHK, inspired by the Above Challenge Series which was created to provide opportunities for experiential learning, focusing on social inclusion, innovation, and public health. The innovation and technology-focused event will include workshops, guest speaker forums, and an inno-a-thon type of competition where groups would come up with proposals for one of the two different sectors: a) Financial Technology, and b) Healthcare Technology.

Goals

  1. To establish a base for youths to innovate for the future and characterize Hong Kong as an innovation hub for inspiring entrepreneurs.
  2. To provide opportunities for students to innovate for and learn about Innovative and Technological solutions to different sectors.

Why Financial Technology (FinTech)?

As the world becomes more digitized and interconnected, the capacity for innovation in traditional fields of work becomes more diverse. The financial sector has always been defined by the long-established institutions where large amounts of money flow between certain dominating corporates. As the improvement in cyber-security and invention of block-chain, the space for innovation in the field of finance is almost limitless. From digital insurance to digital banks, many have utilized this idea for startups and business development.

Why Healthcare Technology (HealthTech)?

Healthcare Technology (HealthTech)

Another important sector heavily exposed by the pandemic is the healthcare sector. As hospitals, emergency services, and pharmaceutical corporations race to tackle this crisis, many problems can be linked back to a lack of advanced technology to increase efficiency, efficacy, and performance. For the innovators: how are you going to use this opportunity to shape the community?

for the DREAMERS:

What are the pain points in the Healthcare sector that can be solved with technology?
