ABOUT THE SERIES
The MIoD Leadership Series is designed to provide insights, knowledge and thought leadership to enable board directors and senior management to stay abreast of evolving challenges and trends and pursue continual learning to remain effective leaders.
We are delighted to announce that the sixth instalment of this series will be delivered by the well-known and well-respected Prof. Dr. Aung Tun Thet on the topic of "Effective and Successful Leadership Development Strategy".
ABOUT THE SESSION
Leadership development is a set of activities that prepare current and future leaders to perform effectively in their roles. Leadership development is the process of enhancing an individual's ability to perform in a leadership role within an organization. Leadership roles are those that help an organization's strategy be carried out by fostering alignment, gaining mindshare, and developing the talents of others.
Effective leaders and leadership skills are important to any organization. They can build strong teams within a business and ensure initiatives, projects and other work functions are completed successfully. As the skills of a leader involve various interpersonal and communication skills, anyone and everyone can exercise and demonstrate their leadership abilities.
Great leaders enhance employee engagement, spread a positive environment and try to remove obstacles for themselves and their team. Good leadership is always contagious and keeps inspiring teammates and colleagues to apply positive leadership traits in their own work.
