His career began in 1969 when he signed his first contract with Northwestern Mutual Life as a college agent. Demonstrating remarkable entrepreneurial spirit, John established, from the ground up, a District Agency in Columbia, MO, in 1973. Under his guidance, the agency flourished, growing from its humble beginnings to produce 5 Million Dollar Roundtable (MDRT) qualifiers.
Throughout his career, John's dedication to excellence has been unwavering. He has qualified for Forum 12 times, +33 Q.I. 9 times, and achieved 200 lives 5 times. Recognised as a Life Member of MDRT, John's contributions to the industry are exemplary.
In 1990, John was appointed Managing Partner of The Qualy Group for Northwestern Mutual Life in St. Louis, where his visionary--leadership led to significant expansion. Under his guidance, the agent force grew from 46 financial representatives to 198, and premiums surged from $2,600,000 to over $30,000,000 by 2010. Notably, during this time, The Qualy Group achieved the prestigious distinction of ranking as the top Northwestern Mutual Life agency nationwide for Premium, Lives, and New Insureds for three consecutive years (2008-2010).
John's commitment to excellence has been consistently recognised, winning the Growth Award every year he served as Managing Partner. He also led all Managing Partners in Pacesetter First 40 and Second 60 qualifiers, showcasing his ability to drive results and inspire others.
Beyond his professional endeavours, John is a dedicated family man and an active member of the Christian Fellowship Community since 2007. He enjoys boating, golfing, traveling with his family, and cherishing moments with his grandchildren.
