The following are the series program planning committee members:

Jacob McGee


Jacob McGee is a gynecologic oncologist and an associate professor in the Schulich School of Medicine at Western University. He is the regional gynecologic oncology champion for southwestern Ontario, a Director for the Gynecologic Oncology Group of Ontario (GOGO), and the incoming Secretary-Treasurer for The Society of Gynecologic Oncology of Canada. His research interests include optimizing testing for hereditary cancer syndromes and outcomes research using ICES (institute for clinical evaluative sciences) datasets.

Prafull Ghatage


Dr. Prafull Ghatage is Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Oncology at the Cumming School of Medicine, Calgary. He is the Tumour Group Lead for the Guidelines Committee for Alberta, and the Program Director for Residency Training in Gynecologic Oncology. He is the Chair of the Examination Committee in Gynecologic Oncology, and the Co-Chair of the Examination Committee for Obstetrics and Gynecology for the Kuwaiti Board. He is co-lead (with Dr McGee) for the COP in Medical Cannabis for the GOC.

Kristin Black


Kristin Black is a first-year Gynecologic Oncology fellow at the University of Calgary, and is concurrently taking the Master of Public Health program at the University of Victoria with a focus in Indigenous Health Studies. She completed a bachelor of science in biochemistry and medical school at the University of Saskatchewan, followed by Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the University of Alberta. Her research interests include Indigenous health, ERAS and perioperative outcomes, and medical cannabis use in gynecologic oncology patients.

Elena Igwe


Dr Igwe is a gynecologist oncologist practicing at Lakeridge Hospital in Oshawa, Ontario. She has trained in both the USA and Canada. She has recently completed a Masters in Healthcare Quality and has many diverse interests in improving the patients experience.

Rachelle Findley


Rachelle Findley hails from rural Southern Alberta. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy at the University of Alberta and worked as a community pharmacist throughout her Medical degree in Edmonton. Obstetrics and Gynecology residency took her across the country to Halifax at Dalhousie University.

 

Having recently completed Gynecologic Oncology fellowship through the University of Calgary in 2021, she has since worked with the Gynecologic Oncology team at the Allan Blair Cancer Centre in Regina and started a master's program with the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy.

Ji-Hyun Jang


Dr. Ji-Hyun Jang is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Western University. She completed her MD and MPH at the University of Toronto and her Obstetrics & Gynecology residency and Gynecologic Oncology fellowship at UBC.
