Mental Health First Aid is a "supportive and compassionate presence designed to reduce acute psychological distress." This training will provide grounding on the principles of Psychological First Aid through the RAPID (Reflective listening, Assessment of needs, Prioritization, Intervention, and Disposition) model.
Participants will be taught how to provide the "first aid" help to someone who is developing or experiencing a worsening mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. The first aid is given until appropriate professional help is received, or the crisis resolves.
Training Days: 11, 18 & 25 August 2021, 9:30 a.m. - 12 noon
Course will be delivered via Zoom
