Dr. Cecilia Boyd is a dedicated advocate for community health, particularly focusing on underserved populations. With a background in Community Health Nursing in Camden, NJ, she led initiatives targeting critical health issues like hypertension, diabetes, and breast cancer awareness among minority groups.
Throughout her career, Dr. Boyd has spearheaded grant-funded programs for hypertension outreach and education, alongside serving as Director of Education for at-risk youth in Camden. Under her leadership, she organized educational encampments providing vital knowledge and mentorship to students.
Dr. Boyd's passion for education shines through teaching courses in mental health, public health, leadership, and Nursing Informatics. She has mentored numerous aspiring nurses and graduate students, including during the COVID-19 vaccination drive at Rowan University.
Beyond her professional roles, Dr. Boyd volunteers to support individuals experiencing grief and addresses adolescent mental health concerns. She holds Board Certifications in Mental Health and Advanced Public Health and is actively involved in professional organizations such as the American Nurses Association and the American Nursing Informatics Association.

Dr. Dwayne Alleyne is a native of Brooklyn, New York. He currently resides in Columbia, SC and is a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina College of Nursing. He received his Bachelor of Science in Physiology from Michigan State University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Adelphi University and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of South Carolina. Dr. Alleyne has been in the field of nursing for over 20 years, 12 of them as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at Prisma Health and the Columbia VA Health Care System. He is the co-founder and current Executive Director of the non profit organization Capitol Nurse Practitioner Group which is one of the largest networking NP groups in the state of South Carolina.

Dr. Yvette Lowery is originally from San Diego, California! She has been a resident of
Jacksonville, Florida since 2008!
Yvette Lowery started her career as a licensed practical nurse after graduating from the Virginia
Beach School of Practical Nursing 2005. Once obtaining her LPN to BSN degree at Norfolk
State University in 2008, she worked in a community intensive care unit, medical surgical
nursing, a level one trauma ICU, and multiple emergency departments. In 2012, she obtained
her Masters in Nursing Education at Jacksonville University and started teaching undergraduate
nursing students in 2013. In 2015, she obtained her Post Masters Certificate as a Family Nurse
Practitioner at Graceland University. She later obtained her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from
South University in 2017. Her DNP project titled “ The Misuse Of the Annual Pap Smear Alone
for Cervical Cancer Screening” was inspired by a women’s health clinic she worked in for three
years with a diverse and underserved population in Jacksonville, Florida from 2015 to 2018. She
currently works in the Gainesville, Florida surrounding areas as a emergency room nurse
practitioner.
Yvette works primarily with the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) for community
service. She currently is a committee member for the State of Florida Coalition for NCNW
working with the Programs Committee since 11/2020 and on the COVID 19 CDC Grant
Taskforce Committee. She has been the Health Committee Chair and 3 rd Vice President for the
Jacksonville Section of NCNW.
Yvette is also a member of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated serving as the Vice President and
Historian of the Sigma Chapter and on the advisory board for their publication JOCEPS and co-
editor of the historical publication The Glowing Lamp.
Yvette is the owner and operator of Specialty Certifications By Yvette a nursing education
company specializing in certification preparation for nurses who work in specialty areas.
She has experience in curriculum development and program development. She has eight years of
teaching nursing at all levels. She also serves as a preceptor to students who wish to become
nurse practitioners. Yvette had 10 years of experience as a registered nurse before becoming a
nurse practitioner. She has worked in emergency medicine as a nurse practitioner for the last six
years part time. Yvette has had previous experience in a family medicine clinic and womens'
health clinic as a nurse practitioner in Jacksonville, Florida. Currently, she works in academia as
a full time Assistant Professor and adjunct faculty member for several universities.

Dr. Danielle McCamey, DNP, APRN, ACNP-BC, FCCP is an expert critical care advanced practice clinician. She has nearly 20 years of nursing experience and over a decade as a board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Her specialties range from perianesthesia care, palliative, and critical care. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean for Strategic Relationships at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. She previously served as Chief Advanced Practice Provider of the Preanesthesia Testing Department and still practices as a Senior Advanced Practice Provider in Surgical Critical Care. Dr. McCamey is a true visionary. She is the founder, CEO, and president of DNPs of Color, Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit national organization that builds community and creates opportunities for nurses of color through networking, mentorship, and advocacy to increase diversity in doctoral studies, clinical practice, and leadership. In addition, she is the co-creator and former chair of the Doctoral Nurses Collaborative, a group that joins DNP and PhD prepared nurses throughout her current healthcare system. The Doctoral Nurses collaborative provides mentorship, scholarship, and elevation of evidence-based practice.
