In this webinar Dr Bernie Whitaker will share a video of an 11 year-old boy playing a game of cricket in imagery while he has a venepuncture.

This will be used to illustrate and contrast the bottom-up nociceptive view of pain with the top-down constructivist approach and the clinical relevance of making the shift.

While Bernie's particular focus is on procedural pain and fear in children and adolescents, the knowledge and skills also apply to pain, fear and anxiety in adults from the ED to the operating theatre.
