Karen is a social worker in private practice in Cape Town and specialise in relationship training and personal and professional development. She is married to Gerhard and has three children, ages 31, 28 and 14 years old. She was born and bred in Pretoria but lives in Cape Town for the past seven years.
She is a Parent/Teacher and Youth Effectiveness Trainer and also presents the Be Your Best Program and Leader Effectiveness Training for individuals and professionals. She feels passionate about relationships and emotional intelligence. She helps parents, teachers and professionals with practical communication skills.

In this day and age of constant improvement, further education, and career progression, we are continually busy improving, learning, and growing. We ensure that we stay on top of the latest developments in our careers, we acquire a coach at the gym or enroll for a cooking course. Yet, as parents, we do not have the same drive to develop and grow in our lives' most important role.
