Program Dates:

November 12-15, 2019

Registration Deadline:

Please register by October 14th

Location:

Project Management Fundamentals at MAXIMUS will be held at the Dulles Marriott Suites, located at 13101 Worldgate Dr. Herndon, VA 20170; Phone: 703-709-0400. Attendee registration will begin on Tuesday, November 12 at 7:30am. All sessions will be held in Salon rooms 1 and 2 on the second level.

The hotel offers a shuttle to Dulles Airport (5-7 minutes) and is also a few minutes from the MAXIMUS corporate office, located at 1891 Metro Center Drive Reston, VA 20190.

Program Objectives: Project Management Fundamentals at MAXIMUS is a 3 1/2-day training program designed to enhance knowledge, develop skills, and provide tools to successfully manage a MAXIMUS project. Aligned to current internal policies and resources within MAXIMUS, Project Management Fundamentals at MAXIMUS will also incorporate Standard Operation and Analytics (SOA) references. There will also be a review of the PMP guidelines and information provided on how to pursue this valuable certification. Note: This event is not training for the PMP exam; the objective is to provide you with the information and tools to become a successful PM at MAXIMUS.

Travel Arrangements:

Costs for the program will be the responsibility of the participant's organization. Airfare and Hotel will be charged to the individual's appropriate administrative budget for the sponsoring organization.

  1. All attendees requiring flight arrangements should utilize the GetThere Self-booking Tool (SBT) or submit a travel request form, and a profile form (if you haven't previously submitted one to the travel department or completed it in GetThere SBT). Access to GetThere and/or the travel documentation can be found on MAXnet under Corporate Travel.
  2. Each attendee will need to provide a personal credit card for incidentals. It is recommended that you check-in to the hotel on Monday, November 11th, and plan for checkout at noon on Friday, November 15th.

Meals:

Breakfast and lunch will be provided each day, and there will be a networking mixer on the evening of November 13th. This is a valuable networking opportunity for project managers to personally meet corporate leaders and shared services contacts, and we encourage you to take advantage of this unique event.

What to Bring:

There will be a number of guest speakers who will provide insight on processes and policies specific to MAXIMUS, and can provide guidance on your specific project questions. It is recommended that you bring your laptop in order to access on-line materials throughout the week.
