South African Photovoltaic Industry Association (SAPVIA)

The South African Photovoltaic Industry Association (SAPVIA) is a not-for-profit industry association that was formed to promote, develop, and grow the solar Photovoltaic ("PV") sector as part of the wider renewable energy industry in South Africa.

We achieve the mission by proactively working with government and other industry stakeholders to ensure that our members are best placed to capitalise on opportunities in the solar PV sector and benefit from a sustainable PV and wider renewable energy market.

As a SAPVIA member, you will gain access to member services designed to enhance your organisation and the sector. These services include but are not limited to, access to research and market intelligence, networking opportunities with actors along the solar PV-value chain, company profiling, influence by joining and making contribution to focused working groups, discounts to industry events and conferences, and direct introductions with relevant stakeholders.

Event Details

The South African Wind Energy Association (SAWEA) and South African Photovoltaic Industry Association (SAPVIA) are sector bodies that represent stakeholders who participate in the Wind and Solar PV Energy sectors in South Africa. They are NPOs that seek to promote, advocate for, endorse, and facilitate a thriving renewable energy sector.


SAPVIA & SAWEA are hosting a networking event to engage members on the Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) 2023 which was launched in January 2024. The event will provide an opportunity for members to provide verbal feedback, ahead of the written feedback submission deadline.
