A picture paints a thousand words. Yet, many of our kids are repeatedly told to "learn from a list" or are reprimanded when caught doodling in class. Our understanding of learning styles tells us that some kids learn best by watching and listening, while others may need to get their hands dirty; but there are those special ones who learn best through pictures.
.
Join us on 19 March at 10am as Tim & Irene from the "Art of Awakening" for a 90min fun-packed and interactive online workshop that will help visual learners utilize their artistic gifts to improve their note-taking, memory and overall engagement.
*Course Synopsis*
Research shows that the key to learning and engagement is emotion. Visual storytelling takes advantage of our brains' preference for visual information over text. By intentionally using and creating visual icons and stories, we are activating our learner's intuitive right brain and triggering emotional connections, stimulating imagination, boosting retention and big-picture thinking. This will helps students to communicate with more confidence and impact.
Our session will provide you with a foundation to study and think visually, as well as ample hands-on practice in using visual tools for ideas generation, creating an impactful presentation, individual and group learning.
