    Senior Manager, Research Programs at Major League Baseball

    Steph is the Senior Manager of Research Programs for Major League Baseball (MLB). In this role, she works with all thirty Clubs and teams at the League office to gather fan feedback on a variety of topics and initiatives. One of the team’s top priorities throughout the season is the Voice of the Consumer program, which gathers feedback on fans’ ticket purchase and gameday experiences. As a part of this program, the MLB Insights team provides League-wide benchmarking and provides forums throughout the year for best practice sharing, which has contributed to the growth and increased usage of the survey results over time. In addition to this work, research is also conducted on topics like fan sentiment, fan segmentation, player awareness, and rule changes. Prior to joining MLB in 2021, Steph worked in consumer insights at both Wawa and Ipsos.

With a career spanning over three decades, Joe has established himself as a respected leader in the venue management industry. His expertise extends to managing multi-million-dollar operating budgets, intricate physical plant operations, and navigating complex construction projects with a strong emphasis on safety and security measures.

    Over the years, Joe has held pivotal positions such as Chief Operating Officer at Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, Executive Vice President and Deputy Director for Operations at The National September 11 Memorial & Museum, General Manager & Managing Director of Operations at Harlem’s World-Famous Apollo Theater, and Director of Operations at Kaufman Center, among others.

    Joe's extensive experience in various public assembly venues has provided him with a deep understanding of the evolving needs and challenges of safety and security management. His dedication to this critical area was recognized by the International Association of Venue Managers, honoring him with the Chair’s Citation at the 2017 annual IAVM conference.

    In 2018, Joe earned his Certified Venue Executive designation from IAVM, a testament to his dedication to professional excellence in venue management. With a deep commitment to enhancing operational efficiency, safety, and security, coupled with a proven track record of success, Joe Levy remains at the forefront of driving positive change in venue management practices. His ongoing contributions are leaving a lasting impact on the industry, ensuring venues operate at their best while prioritizing the safety and security of all stakeholders.
