O · PARK1, the first organic resources recovery centre, located at Siu Ho Wan of North Lantau adopts anaerobic digestion technology to convert food waste into biogas (a source of renewable energy similar to natural gas) for electricity generation whilst the residues from the process can be produced as compost for landscaping and agriculture use.

Through the visitor centre, the Environmental Protection Department introduces the Government's strategies on food waste management, promotes a food wise and waste less culture as well as encourages households and the commercial and industrial sectors to reduce food waste at source.

Schedule:
