EUROCHAM Malaysia is thrilled to announce the upcoming event, "The Lumut Maritime Industrial City (LuMIC) Project: Roadmap on Connectivity in Malaysia" which we will be co-organizing with Perak State Development Corporation (PKNPk), Port of Antwerp-Bruges International (PoABI) and Lumut Maritime Industrial City (LuMIC).
This insightful presentation of the Roadmap on Connectivity in Malaysia marks the initial outcome of the study funded by the European Union entitled "Developing a Roadmap on Connectivity within Malaysia, with a particular focus on the Port of Lumut in Perak". This first phase includes four assessments on Connectivity, Governance, Trade and Cargo, and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), followed by the development of a roadmap. The roadmap is structured around four key areas: sustainable transport connections, enhancing investments, health and well-being, and upskilling and training.
This initiative aims to cater to a diverse audience, including stakeholders from both the Malaysian and European public and private sectors. The overarching objective is to create opportunities for private sector growth by facilitating informed decision-making and strategic investments. The comprehensive assessments conducted as part of this initiative seek to deepen our understanding of the potential of the Malaysian port and maritime system to attract investments, particularly focusing on value-added activities.
