The Executive Brand Building series, "To be or Not to be Social: Digital Media for Executives", is a two-part online interactive workshop, delivered a week apart, that delves into the use of social media by Executives.


In the first session the focus is on understanding the benefits of C-Suite engagement with social media. Participants will learn about the importance of having a personal brand building strategy and schedule that aligns with both personal and organisational development and branding opportunities. Through an evaluation of current posts, participants will be guided to scrutinize for effectiveness, impact and engagement.


The second session provides practical advice about tactics for building a personal and organisational brand. This session includes an evaluation of how content marketing can used for personal brand building. Participants will be supported through the (re)building of their LinkedIn profile, followed by the preparation and publishing of a post relevant to their current position.


At the conclusion of the course, participants will have developed an understanding on how to leverage social media for personal and organisational brand development.

Facilitator

Dr Violetta Wilk


Dr Violetta Wilk, Digital and Social Media Marketing Lecturer at Edith Cowan Universityin Perth, Western Australia, will facilitate this online short course, which she has written exclusively for ANZCHAM Philippines.


Violetta has over 15 years of professional experience working in corporate marketing and brand roles, having created successful digital and offline, branding, marketing and business development strategies for corporate and tertiary organisations. As an academic, Violetta teaches various units in social media and digital marketing, and she also researchers in this field. Her research has recently been published in such international journals as Business Research Journal, the Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics, Public Relations Review, and the International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Management.


Violetta maintains strong industry engagement and has recently been appointed to the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) Western Australian State Committee, and is also a Fellow, Mentor and Certified Practicing Marketer with the AMI. She is also a member with the Social Media Marketing Institute.


Violetta is an award winning educator, having won the 2021 Edith Cowan University Vice Chancellor's Staff Award: Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning.
