Jon is the Head of Human Resources for the Macquarie Group in the Philippines, looking after the Group’s Securities Trading business, Investment Banking unit, Infrastructure and Asset Management Group as well as the Shared Service Center. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Ateneo de Manila University and took up his Juris Doctor at the Ateneo Law School. He was a senior employment lawyer in Angara Abello Concepcion Regala & Cruz (ACCRA Law) prior to joining Macquarie.

Jon completed his fellowship program on International Business transactions at the Academy of American and International Law in Dallas, Texas. Outside his usual office responsibilities, he’s a proud father of three and a big health, wellness and functional fitness advocate.

Ely is the Director of Global Learning Excellence for TELUS International Asia-Pacific, leading a team of over 250 learning professionals that are responsible for identifying and fulfilling the disparate training needs of team members and leaders in TELUS International’s delivery centers in the Philippines, China and India. Prior to moving into this role in 2014, Ely had been Director of Operations from 2009 to 2013, and Director of Talent Acquisition from 2013 to 2014, for TELUS International Philippines.


Chief among Ely’s passions is helping aspiring and incumbent managers become effective leaders. Under his watch, adoption of in-house leadership development programs has increased significantly, the business impact of which can be seen in TELUS International’s consistently high employee engagement and low attrition.

Kunal heads the LinkedIn Talent & Learning business in Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar & Cambodia. He has been with LinkedIn for over 6 years now, and has been instrumental in growing the business across the region, by empowering organizations with data and insights to make smarter talent decisions around Hiring, Upskilling and Retaining key talent. He is passionate about investing in talent, and often indulges in sales coaching.
