The speakers in these talks will give examples of how they are using data in projects or scenarios that contribute to sustainability. The topics include transport, energy supplies and climate modelling. Additionally, in one of the sessions, Professor Paul Watson will speak about how organisations can use data for business improvement and sustainability.
Newcastle University will also provide information about the Industrial Postgraduate Programme (IPP), which is a government-funded initiative that allows companies to work with universities on PhD level research projects, and the upcoming Enterprise Singapore – Innovate UK joint research fund. This is a bilateral government programme that funds UK and Singapore joint industry and university projects.
The event will have time for networking after the talks. During the networking session, we'll display some research posters from our current PhD students.
