Event Details

In a world where the imperative to combat climate change is at the forefront, the webinar titled "Incorporating Nature Into Corporate Climate Strategies" stands as a beacon of hope and actionable insights. Organized collaboratively by the Business Councils for Sustainable Development (BCSD) Malaysia and the Natural Climate Solutions Alliance (NCSA), this webinar is poised to be a pivotal event addressing the convergence of corporate strategies with the preservation of our natural world.

The journey towards net zero involves informed strategies based on scientific insights, encompassing Natural Climate Solutions (NCS) and other carbon removal methods that can seamlessly integrate into a company's value chain. Moreover, emerging frameworks such as the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures, or TNFD (the pathway), Science Based Targets for Nature, or SBTN (the target), and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, or GBF (the goal), require global alignment and sectors to work collaboratively in building global momentum on climate actions.

This highly anticipated webinar has been meticulously crafted to offer participants a comprehensive understanding of pivotal concepts. Beyond mere theoretical discourse, the event is geared towards providing tangible takeaways through compelling business cases that underscore the imperative of adopting natural climate solutions. In doing so, it sets the stage for a paradigm shift in the corporate approach to climate action. The panelists assembled for this event are drawn from BCSD Malaysia's esteemed member organizations, hailing from diverse sectors, to provide invaluable insights into shaping the sustainable business agenda for the future.

Above all, the primary objective of this event is to empower local businesses with the knowledge and confidence required to make judicious and resilient decisions in the face of a rapidly changing climate landscape. The intrinsic value of natural capital is a central theme, highlighting the symbiotic relationship between sustainable business practices and the preservation of our planet.

As we look to the future, the webinar represents not only a learning opportunity but a call to action. It beckons businesses to embrace nature-positive approaches and integrate them into their climate strategies, recognizing that corporate success and environmental stewardship are inextricably linked.

Join us on November 1st for a transformative experience that promises to reshape the way we think about corporate climate strategies.

Together, we can pave the way for a more sustainable and nature-positive future.
