How the technologies we use come with ethical dilemmas:
When we upload our photos to the cloud, store emails, or use our phones to navigate a city, we are extending our mental capacities out into the world. This world, including the technologies that we use, come with "fine print" in who actually controls those extensions. If apple decided to delete all your photos, you would lose part of your memory, part of yourself. The use of AI only accelerates this outward push and hybridization of our minds and machines. What are the ethical issues, power dynamics, and political implications of a world where we increase our capacity, but lose control over our extended minds?
