Caren formerly practiced law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, assisting clients in Employment Law. Now that she has joined Shire Law Group, PC, Caren has expanded her areas to wills, trusts, powers of attorney, estate planning and Elder Law.     Alan received his law degree from Loyola University of Chicago and was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award in Federal Taxation. He received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University. (B.S.B.A.) While at Georgetown, Alan served as an intern for United States Senator Bill Bradley and was able to experience Georgetown’s National Championship season in basketball.

    In addition to being a lawyer, Alan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the following organizations: Wealth Counsel, Elder Counsel, The Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA), the Lake County Bar Association (LCBA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

    Alan is an avid runner and enjoys reading (espionage, crime novels and intrigue), travel and good food.
