Impacts of COVID-19 on Canadians – Share your perspective / Répercussions de la COVID-19 sur les Canadiens – Partagez votre perspective
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many questions have been raised about its impact on Canadian society. In order to address this information need, Statistics Canada has developed short crowdsourcing questionnaires to collect information on specific topics related to the impacts of the pandemic.

Of particular interest are the differences in impacts between various population groups. For instance, we know from data released on May 1 that immigrants are more likely than the Canadian-born to report that they are “very” or “extremely” concerned about their own health (49% vs. 33%) and more likely than the Canadian-born to be concerned about the health of other household members (69% to 50%). We are hoping to produce such granular data on the different impacts of COVID-19 on various communities across Canada.

Statistics Canada is now collecting information on the impacts of COVID-19 on Canadians’ mental health and well-being. The online questionnaire is available until May 11, 2020.
