With a long history going back to 1947, when it was established to produce exclusively bread, Panificio Tosca, based in Castelsangiovanni (Piacenza), in Emilia Region, can offer to customers all day dining products, from breakfast do dinner.
From hand made brioches, muffins, croissant and the pipe with jam, Tosca makes every day smooth fresh pasta and stuffed, as “tortelli” with the tail and high quality “anolini”, the famous “Pisarei e Fasò” (Breadcrumbs Gnocchi with Borlotti beans, the most typical food of the territory of Piacenza), pizza and focaccia and many times of breads (Whole Grain Bread, Multigrain Bread, Turmeric Bread, Chia seed Bread) and, in autumn, one of the most typical products of territory: Pane alla zucca (Pumpkin Bread), in accordance with the historical local traditions.
For over 25 years Tosca bakery produces handmade italian christmas cakes( Panettone and Pandoro) with natural yeast. Patsy chefs were able to select the best raw materials available on the market today, such as Alpine fresh butter, only by Italian milk, raisins and natural orange peel, not treated with preservatives. The most important feature that distinguishes panettone Tosca is the partial replacement of sugar present in the dough with a consistent use of Valtidone natural honey that gives a softness and a truly unique taste.
Classic Milano Panettone is rich with raisins and candied fruit as it wants the traditional recipe while with glazing type Veneziano is the “softer” variant, with a crispy almond glaze and crunchy hazelnuts. The strong union between searching for innovation and love for origins has also led Tosca to start a collaboration with some well-known wine-producing holdings located in hills of Val Tidone. From this meeting Panettone al Passito della Val Tidone is born, that adds the intense perfume of the prestigious Val Tidone wines to one of the most classical Christmas flavours. Tosca has also created Panettone all’Ananas (Panettone with Ananas), ai Frutti di Bosco (Panettone with Berries), all’Amarena (Blackcherry Panettone), con Pere e Cioccolato (Pears & Chocolate Panettone) or Zenzero e Cioccolato (Ginger & Chocolate Panettone).
