A Personal Message From Executive Director (Friday, May 8th) |

Dear Members and Friends, |
| One on four of our members is engaged in some sort of COVID-related CSR. My sense is there are many more that haven’t yet responded to requests for information from their BritCham Buddy. In some cases these are projects that have been quickly mobilized. In others, these are localized and equally critical, such as donations to groups providing essentials for daily living.
Earlier this week our webinar guest was Pak ‘Wija’, Senior Economic Advisor to DKI Governor Anies. He shared the DKI strategic approach to the “strong supporting the weak”. |

We remain keen to track what our members are doing for their various communities. Our team will continue to contact members over the next week. You don’t need to provide detail or state the monetary value of what you are doing. But, when the team follows up, please do share your efforts in general terms.
Thanks to the nearly 100 people who popped in to our virtual Buka Puasa Bersama earlier on Monday. The feedback has been great, firstly that we tried to retain a tradition. But also because the content was light and represented a break from stressful routine. I have challenged my team to respond positively to your requests for something similar. |
|
Just a few lines to draw your attention to other webinars conducted in the last week. With Director General of The BRITISH Chambers of Commerce, Dr Adam Marshall providing an update of the business environment in the UK and priorities and readiness for trade initiatives. |
|
Also. a very focused tax Round Table in collaboration with the Fry Group, for BRITISH expatriates that have found themselves re-positioned in recent times. |
|
This escalation in webinar events is driven by you!
I am delighted to bring you stop press news of the virtual return of our Professional Women’s Group. Sony and team have put together an irresistible line-up of savvy expertise for you for May 12 at 4pm WIB.

Coming up in the next 20 days, we introduce a new Digital Transformation Series. In the first two, we acknowledge that we have all switched quickly to digital everything. In the first, we look at how the marketing of our products and services has been transformed, how business ensures that its digital doors are open.
In the second, we explain and discuss the least you need to know about your business cyber security. Threats and precautions. Please see separate notices for dates, times and registration.
On May 19, the C-Suite among our corporate network has the opportunity to refresh skills or learn new skills in the form of 12 Leadership Agility Practices for Disruptive Times. This is strictly for executives and senior managers only. Those in attendance will receive an exclusive offer for a bespoke executive leadership programme. The offer can be shared within the organisation. |

On webinars, we would like to apologise if you have been affected by registration glitches. We are also learning as we go. Our goal is to give you the best and easiest access to useful intelligence, information and solutions to your real challenges in these extraordinary times.
With that in mind, the latest COVID- related legal and regular notices are below. These include a new provision for KITAS/ITAS renewal if you remain Re-positioned outside Indonesia. With thanks to the foreign Chambers’ collaboration.
Enough from me. Please get in touch with your BritCham Buddy with comments and suggestions. Or drop me a personal note.
Wishing you a relaxing weekend.
Best wishes, be safe.
