Dear Dear BritCham Supporter,

We are still not able to have in-person events here, in Cambodia, but we are looking forward to the restriction being lifted very soon.

A hugely successful Government vaccination scheme has seen 5 million vaccines being administered in just over 2 months, meaning that an estimated 28% of all adults in the Kingdom and nearly 50% in Phnom Penh have now had at least their first dose.

The lightning speed at which this rollout is happening is extremely encouraging as we look forward to businesses being re-opened and events being restarted (and who knows maybe travel too !)

In the meantime, we have exciting Virtual Conferences happening this month, as well as our Podcast series and webinars

In this month's newsletter:
  • Upcoming Online Events - the UKBCC Annual Conference and Britain in South East Asia Conference
  • Business Services News
  • Doing Business in Cambodia Podcast
  • Past BritCham Webinars
  • CIMA Global Business Challenge (SEA) 2021
  • Members News

Wishing you all the best,

The Britcham team

Business Services News
Although Covid-19 is continuously affecting the economic well-being of the country and bilateral trade value between the United Kingdom and Cambodia has slightly decreased by 17% in 2020, there is still an optimistic view that the increase of trade between the two countries will soon pickup again.

This is due to the fact that the United Kingdom is offering Cambodia duty-free access and nil rates of import duty on all goods except arms and ammunition through the UK Generalised Scheme of Preferences (GSP).

This preferential treatment will bring confidence for Cambodian exporters to increase trade into UK, whilst UK’s high-quality products and technologies demand in Cambodia is constantly expanding.

BritCham Cambodia is the official delivery partner of the UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT) to provide trade services in Cambodia. We are a member of the British Chambers of Commerce and UK-ASEAN Business Council in the UK and Britain in Southeast Asia (BiSEA) in the region and ready to assist you in getting what you need from the UK.

We provide free of charge business consultation and trade support for businesses based in Cambodia. If you are keen to inquire about anything related to sourcing products and services from the UK, please do not hesitate to contact
