German Business Association (GBA)

GBA – the GERMAN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION – has been one of the first foreign business associations in Vietnam, starting its activities already back in 1995. For 30 years, GBA has been the focal point of German business life, culture, and values in Vietnam. It has helped German businesses in developing their operations, has advised on a wide range of topics, and created opportunities for business and social exchange across Vietnam.

Today, GBA has over 370 members, a reflection of the opportunities and dynamics of the Vietnamese market. It is one of the largest foreign business associations in Vietnam and a highly respected counterpart in the local community. In addition, GBA was one of the founding members of EuroCham Vietnam, a partnership that represents the pan-European activities and interests in Vietnam. A GBA membership automatically goes along with EuroCham membership and strengthens our ties with the other European business communities.

Event Details

The National Assembly's Resolution No.98/2023/QH15, effective from August 1, 2023, initiates a pilot for unique development policies in Ho Chi Minh City, enhancing investment opportunities, especially in green growth and innovation. Additionally, at COP26, Vietnam pledged to cut methane emissions by 30% by 2030 and reach net-zero by 2050.

In this context, European countries, especially the Federal Republic of Germany, are at the forefront of global economic development in green growth, achieving significant success in environmental protection and sustainable development.

With the aim of expanding access opportunities, updating the investment environment, and introducing new development mechanisms of Ho Chi Minh City to German investors, the Investment and Trade Promotion Center of Ho Chi Minh City (ITPC) in coordination with the German Business Association (GBA) and the United Overseas Bank (UOB) will host the Vietnam-Germany Business Forum, focusing on green growth collaboration.
