Globalisation, along with increasing ethnic and cultural diversity in workplaces, schools, and homes, requires culturally aware individuals to navigate these settings effectively. This second session continues its aim to heighten participants' understanding of culture's intricate role in communication across different contexts through interactive activities. The session will further delve into how our cultural backgrounds influence our cognitive processes, behaviors, and perception of others. Our objective is to encourage self-reflections on how cultural programming affects our competence in intercultural communication.
We are delighted to invite Ms. Barbara Eu, Hofstede CWQ(Trademark) Consultant and Intercultural Learning Trainer to share the topic with our fellow EC fraternity on "Introduction to Cultural Perspectives and Intercultural Awareness – Part 2".

Meet Barbara, the intercultural trainer! With a knack for bridging cultural gaps and a Hofstede CWQ certification in hand, Barbara is on a mission to make the world a friendlier place. As a Specialist at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), Barbara is dedicated to training both local and foreign students in the art of intercultural learning. When she is not decoding cultural dimensions, you can find her cycling or planning her next adventure abroad.
