    Cym D'Souza

    Vice Chair of Board at Manningham Housing Association Ltd

    Cym previously served as Chief Executive of Manchester-based Arawak Walton Housing Association, stepping down last autumn after almost 25 years in the post.

    Ms D’Souza is a well-known figure in UK housing having served from 2012-23 as Chair of BME National, the umbrella body for black and minority ethnic (BME) housing associations.

    Cym is a qualified chartered accountant, she has been a member of numerous boards in the commercial and housing sectors and was recently appointed Vice Chair of Church Housing Association, established by the Church of England following the publication of a groundbreaking report by the Archbishops’ Commission on Housing, Church and Community.

    Trina cofounded Building Better with four housing association colleagues during the National Housing Federation's Greenhouse programme in 2018. Building Better has since grown to become an alliance of social housing providers committed to delivering the highest quality housing through MMC with aggregation and collaboration at its heart. Over 2,000 homes have been assessed for viability under two procurement routes to 17 manufacturing partners and the organisation is exploring how to better integrate traditional and offsite construction in 2024 and beyond.
