Non-communicable diseases (NCDs), particularly cardio-renal-metabolic conditions such as chronic kidney disease, diabetes, and hypertension, remain major public health concerns in the Philippines. These conditions often coexist and share modifiable risk factors, imposing a significant burden on healthcare systems and the economy. The Department of Health's National Objectives for Health 2023–2028 highlights the urgency of addressing these interconnected conditions through integrated strategies, aligning with the goal of achieving equitable, high-quality healthcare for all Filipinos.

In response, the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (GPCCI), in partnership with Boehringer Ingelheim Philippines, is organizing a roundtable discussion to address the rising prevalence of cardio-renal-metabolic disorders. This event will convene health experts, policymakers, and industry leaders to explore sustainable solutions that enhance awareness, prevent disease progression, and strengthen healthcare systems.
