Director of Nexia SAB&T, Bashier Adam and Investec Corporate Institutional Banking Economist, Tertia Jacobs, will unpack the highlights of the 2025 National Budget Speech.

Bashier is a founding partner of Nexia SAB&T which was established in1994, after completing his training contract with a medium-sized firm in Johannesburg. Over the years, he has been instrumental in determining the strategic direction and growth of the firm – culminating in the creation of one of the largest independent empowerment firms in South Africa.

Bashier was influential in the firm becoming a member of Nexia International, one of the leading Global accounting and business networks in the world. Currently serving as a director on the International Board of Nexia, Bashier is also the Chairman of the EMEA Board of Nexia.

Tertia has worked as Economist and Fixed Income Strategist at Investec Corporate Institutional Banking (ICIB) since April 2002. Her responsibilities include forecasting, commentary, and presenting on macro-economic trends and data, economic policies, and the fixed income market. She provides specific coverage and insights on monetary and fiscal policies, including FX dynamics and interest rates.

Before joining Investec, Tertia held a number of Treasury, economic and fixed income analyst roles, including at Rand Merchant Bank Investment Services, Societe Generale Frankel Pollak, ABSA Bank, and Standard Bank. Tertia has Honours degrees in Economics and Business Economics as well as a BCom in Communications.
