German Business Association (GBA)

GBA – the GERMAN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION – has been one of the first foreign business associations in Vietnam, starting its activities already back in 1995. For 30 years, GBA has been the focal point of German business life, culture, and values in Vietnam. It has helped German businesses in developing their operations, has advised on a wide range of topics, and created opportunities for business and social exchange across Vietnam.

Today, GBA has over 370 members, a reflection of the opportunities and dynamics of the Vietnamese market. It is one of the largest foreign business associations in Vietnam and a highly respected counterpart in the local community. In addition, GBA was one of the founding members of EuroCham Vietnam, a partnership that represents the pan-European activities and interests in Vietnam. A GBA membership automatically goes along with EuroCham membership and strengthens our ties with the other European business communities.

Event Details

Since the Đổi Mới reforms began in 1986 and the lifting of the US embargo in 1994, Vietnam has experienced rapid growth and liberalization. This transformation has also significantly boosted German business activities in Vietnam and for the German business association.

Over the past 30 years, German companies have navigated various highs, such as Vietnam's WTO membership, and challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, demonstrating resilience in constantly changing market conditions. In our first monthly business meeting of this anniversary year, we aim to look ahead and analyze the scenarios Vietnam may encounter in the coming years and decades of economic development.

Will Vietnam remain on the path of reform and global integration?

What impacts will demographics have on domestic consumption?

Join us for the GBA Business Meeting in March to explore these critical questions and more. Our speakers will decode the complex outlook of Vietnam and help you align your business strategies with macroeconomic trends.
