German Business Association (GBA)

GBA – the GERMAN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION – has been one of the first foreign business associations in Vietnam, starting its activities already back in 1995. For 30 years, GBA has been the focal point of German business life, culture, and values in Vietnam. It has helped German businesses in developing their operations, has advised on a wide range of topics, and created opportunities for business and social exchange across Vietnam.

Today, GBA has over 370 members, a reflection of the opportunities and dynamics of the Vietnamese market. It is one of the largest foreign business associations in Vietnam and a highly respected counterpart in the local community. In addition, GBA was one of the founding members of EuroCham Vietnam, a partnership that represents the pan-European activities and interests in Vietnam. A GBA membership automatically goes along with EuroCham membership and strengthens our ties with the other European business communities.

Event Details

Vietnam's investment landscape is shifting amid global economic shifts and regulatory changes. As the global semiconductor race intensifies, Northern Vietnam is emerging as a strategic manufacturing hub. With cost-effective labor, proximity to China, and strong government incentives, the region is attracting industry leaders like Amkor, Samsung, and Intel.

In addition to investment location, foreign businesses must navigate key policies affecting operations, including tariffs, income tax incentives, and the impact of the ongoing trade war on Vietnam's exports as well as the availability of land and labor in certain areas of the country. These factors create both risks and opportunities for investors. This workshop provides insights into Vietnam's investment landscape, macroeconomic outlook and the latest policy developments, along with emerging areas for investment.

Join us for the GBA Members for Members Workshop,"Vietnam's Macroeconomic Outlook & Key Policy Shifts impacting Foreign Businesses", co-hosted by CEEC Vietnam, Forvis Mazars Vietnam and NordCham Vietnam, to explore opportunities and challenges in key industries, such as manufacturing and high-tech, helping businesses adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing market.
