H.E. Massimo Santoro, European Union Ambassador to the Philippines
Ambassador Massimo brings over 20 years of diplomatic experience within European and international institutions. Since September 2024, he has served as Ambassador and Head of Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines.
Prior to his current role, he previously held senior roles at the European External Action Service (EEAS) and the Permanent Representation of Italy to the EU, specializing in policy coordination, human rights, and crisis management. He also served as Political Adviser to the EU Special Representative for the crisis in Georgia and Deputy Head of Mission at the Italian Embassy in Belarus.
Ambassador Massimo holds a Degree in Law, specializing in International Studies, from the University of Florence, and completed a Master Course in Diplomatic Studies at SIOI โ the Italian Society for International Organization in Rome.
Event Details
MBC's flagship event for 2025 is the Foreign Leaders' Series, which will feature Ambassadors and other foreign dignitaries as the Keynote Speakers during General Membership Meetings. This is part of MBC's mission to strengthen the ties of Philippine business leaders with the country's key diplomatic partners as well their understanding of trade, investment, and geopolitical opportunities and challenges.
In the past year, MBC hosted US Ambassador MaryKay Carlson, Australian Ambassador HK Yu and Viet Nam Ambassador Lai Thai Binh.
