Event Details

On October 31, 2023, the US Department of Education posted new final form regulations on Financial Responsibility, Administrative Capability, Certification Procedures, Ability-To-Benefit (ATB). This regulatory package contained a lot of policy changes impacting schools. One of the most significant changes is a provision to eliminate the "150% Rule" for clock hour programs, which would force all clock hour programs in states with minimum required state hours to align their school hours to the state minimum (with no deviation), or risk losing all Title IV financial aid for all students.

Please join MAACS for its third webinar on this issue. Topics expected to be covered include, but are not limited to:

  • Status of Congressional legislation to stop this change and what will happen if legislation does not pass
  • Updates on state actions to help schools comply with federal rule
  • Factors to consider for programs being forced under 600 hours
  • Updates from accrediting bodies and flexibilities that may be offered by some accreditors
  • Alternative financing options for schools to either supplement or supplant Title IV financial aid for students

This webinar is scheduled for 12:00-1:00 PM Eastern Time on March 22, 2024
