MP Che Vice President CC Cheah pointed out that Malaysia needs an advanced modern plastic recycling industry to develop into a sustainable economy, and he also said that "plastic recyclers may contribute three to four times to the Malaysian economy, estimated to reach 15 billion to 20 billion ringgit and increased investment in better technology, infrastructure and capacity enhancement, " Malaysia is also considered to play the most important role as a leader in the circular economy in the ASEAN region.
