Suzanne Clark is President of the US Chamber of Commerce, the largest business federation in the world.

Ms. Clark focuses on strategy, government relations and market innovation working in support of its more than 3 million member companies internationally. She leads a wide range of policy and operational initiatives at the quarter billion dollar organization, and was the first Senior Executive Vice President in the institution’s 104-year history.

Prior to re-joining the US Chamber in 2014, where she had previously served as Chief Operating Officer, Clark acquired and led a prominent financial information boutique – Potomac Research Group (PRG) – which was recognized by the Inc500 as the 135th fastest growing private company in 2012. PRG became a brand leader in the field of policy research and analysis for institutional investors – connecting “Washington to Wall Street;” and, the firm was sold to a larger macro research organization where she is a non-executive partner. As a seasoned business owner, Ms. Clark remains passionate about the need to create an environment where companies can innovate, grow and flourish.

In 2007, Clark was named President of the National Journal Group (NJG), a premier provider of information, news and analysis for Washington’s political and policy communities. NJG is an arm of Atlantic Media Company, and for the next three years Clark led NJG’s 6 distinct print, online, and event businesses and guided an evolution from long form journalism to cutting edge digital and mobile media, with the result that her group produced record-level profits and received multiple journalism awards.

Clark sits on the Board of two public companies – AGCO, a Fortune 500 global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural equipment, and TransUnion, a provider of global risk and credit information. She is also a member of the Board of So Others Might Eat, serving the poor and homeless in the nation’s capital, and St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School. She is the former President of the International Women’s Forum (Washington Chapter), a global group of leading women in business, law, government, technology and the arts. Clark was named one of Washingtonian Magazine’s “40 Under 40: Young Washingtonians to Watch,” and later, one of the magazine’s “100 Most Powerful Women in Washington.”

Ms. Clark earned a BA, magna cum laude, and an MBA from Georgetown University, and lives in Virginia with her husband and their daughter.

Leah Brown, M.D., is a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in sports medicine and treatment of the knee, shoulder and elbow. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in genetics from the University of Georgia, where she was a 14-time NCAA All-American, and a two-time NCAA National Gymnastics Champion and was inducted into the University of Georgia’s Circle of Honor in 2016. After completing her undergraduate work, she earned a Doctor of Medicine degree at The Ohio State University and The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, followed by a Surgery internship at the Naval Medical Center San Diego.
Dr. Brown served for two years as a Battalion Surgeon (General Medical Officer) at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. In 2006, she was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, where she served as the Medical Aid Station Director for Combat Logistics Battalion-5. Dr. Brown completed a four-year residency in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Naval Medical Center San Diego and subsequently joined the Center’s Department of Orthopedic Surgery as a faculty orthopedic surgeon. Her next assignment was as a faculty orthopedic surgeon at Naval Hospital Bremerton in Bremerton, Washington. In 2012, Dr. Brown was deployed to Afghanistan as a part of Operation Enduring Freedom, where she served as Orthopedic Surgery Department Head. She is the recipient of nine military honors and awards, including the Bronze Star, Navy Commendation Medal. She continues her military service as a Navy Reservist.
Dr. Brown is fellowship trained in orthopaedic sports medicine, shoulder and elbow. She completed her fellowship at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, North Carolina. During her fellowship, she was an assistant team physician for the 2016 NFC Champions, Carolina Panthers and athletic departments for University of North Carolina in Charlotte and Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina. She is currently the team Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Phoenix Mercury and an official orthopaedic consultant for Arizona State University and the Tempe Union High School district. She was selected by the class of 2019 Medical College of Georgia graduation class to be the commencement speaker.
Dr. Brown is a Diplomat with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a Fellow with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, and a Member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Association of North America. She serves on the medical executive board at Tempe St Luke’s Hospital and has recently been appointed as the chief of surgery. She is the Co-Founder and owner of UrgentlyOrtho, a concierge orthopaedic and urgent care clinic.

Event Moderator Jonae Harrison brings over seventeen years of legal and policy experience in government, non-profit, corporate and private practice. She is the Equity and Inclusion Manager for the City of Tempe, focusing on both internal and external initiatives and policies. Prior to joining the City of Tempe, Jonae was the Director of Equity and Special Finance Services for Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC). At CPLC, Jonae designed and implemented a program division for leveraging new federal tax legislation (Opportunity Zones) with the goal of promoting social good in the community.

Jonae has a Bachelor of Science in Languages – double major in Spanish and English – from Georgetown University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Tulane University. She also attended Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic.

With over 30 years of local police experience, Sylvia serves as the Chief of Police in Tempe, Arizona.
Sylvia served as the Chief of the El Cerrito, CA Police Department from 2010 until her appointment in Tempe. Prior to El Cerrito, Sylvia spent 19 years with the Sacramento, CA Police Department where she served in every division of the department.
Sylvia currently serves on several Executive Boards to enrich the profession of policing.
Sylvia holds a BS in Criminal Justice, a MA in Organizational Management, and a MS degree from the Naval Postgraduate School- Center for Homeland Defense and Security.

Lisa A. Atkins has more than 40 years of professional experience and community service in Arizona. She is currently the Commissioner of the Arizona State Land Department, appointed by the Governor in 2015. Mrs. Atkins was a member of the staff of U. S. Congressman Bob Stump for more than twenty-five years, serving as Chief of Staff from 1979 – 2002, the Executive Director of the County Supervisors Association (2003-2004), and the Vice President for Public Policy of Greater Phoenix Leadership (2004-2015).

Mrs. Atkins is also currently on the Central Arizona Project (CAP) Board of Directors, and has served on the Board since 2003. She is currently serving her third term as President of the Board and previously served as Board Secretary and Chairman of the CAGRD and Underground Storage Committee.

Lorraine Bergman, an Arizona native; is the President and CEO of Caliente Construction Inc. Founded in 1991 Caliente continually ranks in the top 50 of Arizona’s largest construction companies and is 4th largest woman owned company in the state. Lorraine has a degree in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Phoenix. One of Lorraine’s great passions is serving the community. Just a few of her notable accomplishments include: 2013 President of the Arizona Builders Alliance; State of Arizona Director for Association of General Contractors of America, 2016 President of the Arizona chapter of the Center for Job Order Excellence, past member of CEOs Against Cancer, and co-founder of Advancing Women in Construction. She is a is a two-time Athena Award nominee; winner of the ACE Most Admired CEO, ASU Spirit of Enterprise award and Construction Financial Managers Association Construction Executive of the Year and was named an Industry Leader of Arizona for Commercial Real Estate.

Lorraine is currently a member of Greater Phoenix Leadership, Lambda Alpha International (LAI), and a Board Member of Arizona Business Alliance, Phoenix Community Alliance, NAWIC and the Tempe and Gilbert Chambers.

Lorraine has raised two successful children who are also actively involved in the family business and is a devoted grandmother of five! Committed to living an active and healthy life, she is up before dawn to work out, is an avid hiker and a world traveler.

Dr. Aneesah Nadir is an author, small business owner and social worker with 41 years experience working with nonprofits and communities. She is a retired Arizona State University professor where she taught Social Work for 17 years and a current adjunct professor guiding students in their internship. Dr Nadir is a co-founder, and President of the Islamic Social Services Association-USA, a national nonprofit organization engaged in mental health advocacy and education in its 21st year.
