Color Marketing Group®

Color Marketing Group® (CMG) is The Premier International Association for Color Design Professionals®. Our mission is creating accurate and relevant color and trend forecast information by connecting global color professionals in their shared passion.

A not-for-profit international association of color design professionals, Color Marketing Group® is a forum for the exchange of all things color. Members represent a broad spectrum of designers, marketers, color scientists, consultants, educators, and artists.

Since 1962, CMG members have been turning a shared passion for color, into business opportunities across all industries. Our members come together at local and international color forecasting events to interpret, create, forecast, and select colors with the goal of enhancing manufactured goods and services. By collaborating, we better identify the direction of color and design trends. Then, interpret that information across industries.

You live in color and so do we. Its influences are everywhere, the environment, social issues, changing political climates – they all impact color in one industry, which have a reverberating effect on another. We believe the only way to stay competitive within such constant change, is by harnessing each other’s endless flow of knowledge and understanding.

CMG SUMMIT REVEAL

August 28 - 31

About

Explore the future of color, materials and finishes by participating in this collaborative and interactive experience, during which we'll reveal the latest trends for 2025 and beyond gathered during our global in-person and virtual forecasting events held this year.

This year, our global forecasting events, both in-person and virtual, brought together professionals from around the world to contribute to CMG's 2025+ Forecast. With a total of 14 ChromaZone workshops conducted in multiple languages and formats, our forecast is one of the most diverse and vibrant ones yet. This year we introduced several new exciting elements to enhance the process and expand its creative horizons!

In addition to our traditional focus on color, we have expanded our exploration to include materials and finishes. By incorporating mega and macro themes identified during our Future Thinking Workshops, we have enhanced the depth and breadth of our forecast. And to top it off, we are excited to announce that we have moved up the revelation date from November to August, allowing you to stay ahead of the curve and be among the first to discover the future of color.

MEET OUR WORLD COLOR FORECAST™ PRESENTERS

Presenting the Asia Pacific Forecast:

Lora Di Fabio is the Design & Development Manager at American Biltrite where she leads the design development of flooring products and marketing materials. After receiving her BFA (Honours in Graphic Design) from Concordia University, Lora worked at Industrial Design firms and corporations where she specialized in colour and graphic applications on consumer products. She has lectured on the subject of Colour in Manufacturing at the University of Montreal School of Design where she facilitates a yearly colour trend workshop.

Presenting the European Forecast:

Judith van Vliet was born in the countryside of The Netherlands. She moved to the urban environment of The Hague for her studies at the age of 17. At 28, when she moved to Milan, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of living in Italy. She still lives there, a participant in the vibrant unfolding of color and design-thinking in one of the world's creativity capitols. Her initial dive into color came in her first job as Product Planning Specialist at Kawasaki Motors, where she was the only European and the only woman on Kawasaki's Japan-based design team. Later, she served as Senior Color Designer at Avient ColorWorks, which designs innovative and increasingly sustainable polymer-based colorants to the manufacturing sector and was Creative Director of ColorForward, a global color forecasting guide.

Presenting the Latin American Forecast:

Alexandra Avalos Urquiza is a talented interior designer from San Salvador, El Salvador. With a bachelor's degree in architecture focused on Interior Design and fashion and textile design studies from Istituto Europeo di Design, she brings a unique blend of creativity and expertise to her work. With a passion for color and captivating spaces, Alexandra has made a significant impact throughout her career. Currently serving as the Regional Visual Merchandising and Color, Marketing & Design Manager at Sherwin-Williams in Central America.

Presenting the North American Forecast:

Montaha Hidefi is a world-renowned Color Archeologist™. She centers her color consultancy services on developing color trends foresights and color forecast projections, portfolio ideation and customized color related insights to small, medium, and large organizations on a global basis. In 2020, Montaha established the notion of Color Archaeology™ – a trademark of her Color Landing Studio, to best define the practice of color forecasting and its intricacies.

Presenting the 2025+ World Color Forecast™:

Peggy Van Allen, the founder of Colorfuel, is a designer and color anthropologist with a background in graphic design and experience in trend research, visual merchandising and palette development. Her unique skillset allows her to visually communicate the complexities of color in a way that is both inspirational and educational. Trend forecasting is integral to the success of design and color palette development. Color anthropology is the study of human behavior in order to understand the why, which, and when of a target consumer's color preferences.

Presenting the Global CMF Forecast

Mercedes Landázuri is a recognized expert in the world of color science and CMF, and leads Ampacet's insight team as Market Insight Manager. In her spare time, she hosts the award-winning PlastChicks podcast, serves on several boards within the Society of Plastics Engineers, and guest lectures for CMF programs at multiple institutions.
